When people imagine selecting a security team of their ideal security professionals, sometimes they picture the wall of beefy figures that keep your rowdy uncle from jumping on the stage at a concert. Or maybe they are thinking of the suave, dark-suited, ear-pieced types…whispering urgent, covert instructions into the sleeve of their jacket. They could also be thinking of reassuring and robed individuals, armed with a flashlight as bright as a lightsaber. Or perhaps they imagine smiling, hip hospitality staff with the ability to assess IDs from around the world.
No matter who they conjure up in their mind or their circumstances, very rarely do they picture the process that goes into matching the right security professionals for their needs.
Like an iceberg, the people that show up for a security job tend to be just the tip. If you think it’s just luck that certain people are chosen for you, you would be wrong!
This may sound strange, but matchmaking the right security professionals for your needs it’s not unlike navigating the world of online dating. And while we can’t tell you how others do it, we can tell you how we do it. (And based on what we’re hearing from our happy customers, we’re doing it and doing it and doing it well!)
Introducing…pre-plan preparation!
You Down With P.P.P.?
Yeah, you know me!
We are 100% down with P.P.P.
P.P.P. stands for Pre-Plan Preparation. And we don’t do any program without it. We feel that the P.P.P. should be a proactive part of the DNA of any exceptional security company. It includes not only the onsite professionals. But more importantly, it factors in the many nuanced and customized touchpoints that need to be in place first.
If it’s done right, your security company will provide the safest and most secure security plan specifically for Y.O.U.
Getting To Know You First
You are not one-size-fits-all. So, your security plan shouldn’t be either. What that means for us is that we like to spend some quality time discovering what makes you tick.
Our first step involves an in-depth call or meeting. We want to hear about you and what you need. This includes asking you questions about your past experiences – good and bad. We want to hear about your past security relationships, your hopes and dreams for the future, and how we fit into your picture.
This isn’t the time to rush into anything, at least not until we know what the other is looking for. We are not in it for one shift – we’re here for the long haul. And because of that, we want to make sure we’re the right fit before selecting a security team for you.
First Impressions
After our first meeting, we take all we’ve learned about you and obsess over the details. We’ll go back to headquarters and bring our best minds together. Yep…we bring in our trusted inner circle and tell them all about you and what you’re looking for.
We know with a budding relationship this important, we want to do everything right. So, our brainstorming sessions include Think Tanking about things that are important to you. We ask ourselves things like:
- Are they looking for something specific in a security company?
- What does their current security look like?
- Is there anything new that they need?
- What don’t they need from a security team?
- Are we a good match?
These critical steps lay the foundation of trust-building. They can’t be underestimated when it comes to proving ourselves to you. They are almost as important as the next move…
We Have To Meet In Person
In today’s day and age, we all know that people only post their most flattering pictures online. The same holds true for any venue, layout, or office space. We’ve learned that there is more than meets the eye!
For us, when it comes to the next steps, we have to “meet in person”. What that means to us is simple, we have to go to the space where your security plan will unfold. We must have a mandatory site visit. And we’re looking for some very specific things in order to write a plan perfect for you. We’re sizing up your exposure. We’re eyeballing your territory and determining where your weaknesses are, and where you could use extra support.
We Show You Our Intentions
Once we understand you, it’s important for us to show you our intentions. Based on the assessments, we create a customized security plan that is specific to you and your needs. We outline a customized Standard Operating Procedure security plan that is tailored and cut to fit. It may not be a Hallmark card, but it is our promise to you.
We See Other People
At this phase in the relationship, it’s important to see other people. More specifically…we want you to see the best people for you! This brings us to the staffing step…our matchmaking.
Once we know what you need and understand what you’re up against, we play matchmaker with our exceptional team of security professionals. This is where the fun of selecting a security team happens.
There are so many important considerations when it comes to our pairing. We think about your company culture. We consider your footprint. Everything you’ve shared with us is presented against the talent we work with. And from there we hand-select the people that are just right for you.
We Prove Our Commitment
Once selected, your tailor-made team will be brought together in another pre-event ritual. We’re talking: Extended Training and Integration. We understand that even the best partnerships are always striving to be better. So, we take our already-exceptional security professionals and add any pertinent additional training that you specifically need. Our onsite team is hospitality-first. This means it’s important to us that they represent your values and culture. They are a part of you. And we make sure they are ready to go the distance.
Happily Ever After
Our favorite moment is when we are able to present to you your perfect match. When we present your tailored team of security professionals and outline our security plan for your review…it is one of the happiest moments in our journey together. We understand that behind that promise on paper is a commitment to a shared vision, built on hours of research, and a foundation of trust.
Nothing is more important to us than creating a great relationship with you. We’re here to be your one and only. To learn more about P.P.P.s and our matchmaking skills while selecting a security team for our clients, give us a call today!
